A Gibson Nighthawk which came in for a refinish due to it's exsisting poor finish, this original finish was uneven, pitted and like many guitars finished in cellulose the lacquer was breaking down due to age and regular contact with a players sweaty hands..

The guitar has been completely stripped and is now in the process of being sealed. The next steps will be to add the sunburst finish to the top, then the colour to the back and neck.

View of the back matched to the original colour.

Refinished in polyester but keeping as true to the original colours as possible.
